CLEARWATER, Idaho \u2014 Idaho Governor Brad Little has issued a “state disaster declaration” in order to support emergency efforts in Clearwater, Idaho and Nez Perce Counties to help assess damages after an atmospheric river.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile the immediate threat of flooding has diminished, risks to infrastructure and communities remain,\u201d said Governor Little. \u201cThis\u00a0declaration\u00a0allows us to support local response efforts to protect Idahoans as we enter spring.\u201d<\/p>\n
The state disaster declaration is aimed at stabilizing infrastructure and to help prevent catastrophic washouts in these areas. Residents in these areas are encouraged to stay alert, report damages to the Idaho Office of Emergency Management and monitor emergency communications.
