Goalie Jonathan Quick will get the starting nod in Saturday\u2019s matinee against the playoff-chasing Red Wings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the 3-2 loss to the Canadiens<\/a> on Thursday, the 40-year-old Quick returned from a seven-game absence from an upper-body injury to back up Igor Shesterkin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was his second injury stint of the season. <\/p>\n

The Connecticut native also missed six games due to a lower-body injury from late November into early December, part of which he spent on injured reserve.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Saturday will be Quick\u2019s first game since March 18<\/a>, when the veteran netminder gave up six goals on 39 shots to the Devils in a 6-3 loss.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With Quick\u2019s one-year deal set to expire at the end of this season, it\u2019s possible that Saturday\u2019s game is his last start at Madison Square Garden. <\/p>\n
