Leesburg (Ga.) four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw<\/a> will make his college commitment on April 15, he tells Rivals\u2019 Hayes Fawcett. <\/p>\n

Among the final contenders are Alabama, Florida, Miami and Texas A&M \u2014 narrowing down from a list that included more than 25 Power 4 offers over the past two years. He is fresh off a visit to Miami earlier this week, and is also expected to be at Alabama next week, potentially the final visit before his decision is made. <\/p>\n

Three schools have been the main contenders with two weeks until he announces. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll say\u00a0Texas A&M<\/a>,\u00a0Florida<\/a>, and\u00a0Miami<\/a>\u00a0are the ones standing out right now,\u201d he told AggiesToday\u2019s Jaxson Callaway last month. <\/p>\n

A major factor in the Aggies being a contender is his relationship with\u00a0Holmon Wiggins<\/a>, as well as the program\u2019s success under Mike Elko, including a run to the College Football Playoff last year. <\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like Coach Elko is building a national championship team,\u201d Upshaw recently told Rivals\u2019 Chad Simmons. \u201cHe\u2019s got the coaches and playmakers. They\u2019re about to make a run.\u201d<\/p>\n

Florida schools pushing to land Upshaw, nation\u2019s No. 5 WR<\/p>\n

He is expected to be at Miami this weekend for their annual pool party event, as the Hurricanes look to make a big late push to land the Peach State Playmaker. Like with Texas A&M, he loves the direction he is seeing for the program with Mario Cristobal in charge. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was definitely impressed,\u201d he told CaneSport\u2019s EJ Holland last month<\/a>. \u201cI went out there and watched them play against Florida, and the atmosphere was different. I like the offense. Malachi Toney played a huge factor. He played almost everything. I liked seeing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the Gators, new head coach Jon Sumrall has quickly made an impression on Upshaw after he visited in January. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great guy,\u201d Upshaw told GatorsOnline<\/a>. \u201cHe came up to me and was like, \u2018I\u2019m glad you came out here.\u2019 Energetic as I don\u2019t know what. He \u2018s definitely a very cool guy. \u2026 I\u2019ve heard from a couple players he\u2019s challenging. If something is wrong, he\u2019s going to come to you and tell you what\u2019s wrong. He\u2019s going to be a hard coach when he needs to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the course of his last two varsity seasons, Upshaw has hauled in 110 receptions for 1,744 yards and 19 touchdowns.
