Joseph Duggar<\/a> has returned home after pleading not guilty<\/a> to child molestation charges in Florida.<\/p>\n

The 19 Kids and Counting alum is back in Arkansas with his wife Kendra Duggar<\/a> following his release on $600,000 bond, his lawyer Albert J. Sauline III told People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The attorney also noted that Joseph, 31, is not with the couple’s four kids.<\/p>\n

Indeed, a stipulation for Joseph’s release forbids him to have unsupervised contact with minors\u2014including his own children\u2014and any communication with the alleged victim who accused him of molesting<\/a> her during a 2020 family vacation to Panama City Beach, Fla.<\/p>\n

In addition to his charges in Florida, Joseph and Kendra, 27, are each facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment<\/a> in their home state. Neither of them has entered pleas for those charges.<\/p>\n

In a March 23 email sent to Joseph while he was awaiting extradition from an Arkansas jail, his sister-in-law Anna Duggar<\/a> shard details on the aftermath of his and Kendra’s arrests.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old told Joseph that she had spoken to Kendra upon her release from police custody, saying that the mom of four sounded “strong on the phone call, except for when she talked about it being a month before she can see the kids<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

“My heart breaks for all of you,” Anna\u2014whose husband Josh Duggar is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence<\/a> on child pornography charges\u2014wrote to Joseph, per Washington County Sheriff’s Office records obtained by E! News. “Kendra is an amazing woman\u2014the Grace of God is flowing from her life.”<\/p>\n

She also alluded to Kendra’s own legal predicament, writing, “I know she will win in the end\u2026 it just might take time.”<\/p>\n

But Anna wasn’t the only member in the Duggar family to have emailed Joseph while he was behind bars. His dad Jim Bob Duggar<\/a> also sent him a message<\/a>, telling Joseph that he and Michelle Duggar<\/a> “love you very much.”<\/p>\n

“You have made some terrible decisions, but God has already forgiven you if you have asked him,” the Duggar patriarch wrote in a March 25 email. “You are just going to have to accept the situation at this point and it\u2019s also fine to pray that God would have mercy on you, but you\u2019re probably gonna face major consequences for several years to come.”<\/p>\n

Joseph Duggar’s parents broke their silence in a statement<\/a> on March 30.<\/p>\n

\u201cJim Bob and Michelle are heartbroken over this entire situation,\u201d a spokesperson for the Duggar family told Us Weekly<\/a>. \u201cRight now, they are focused on loving their family and helping Kendra and her children during this difficult time.”<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added that the couple was “praying for the victim. They ask for privacy and appreciate the kind words and prayers offered by so many.\u201d<\/p>\n

We are shocked and heartbroken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derick and Jill<\/a>\u2014who spoke out against the family in the 2023 book Counting the Cost\u2014said they \u201cstrongly condemn abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Josh understands the stigma of being accused<\/a>,” his attorney told the Daily Mail<\/a> in a story published March 20. “He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life. He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.”<\/p>\n

Noting that Josh\u2014who is serving 12 years in prison for child pornography\u2014is “not in frequent communication” with Joseph, the attorney said the former TLC star “hopes and prays for his brother’s well being in this difficult time.”<\/p>\n

The countinued, “Our hearts are with the child who has been harmed\u2014this is a grievous and unacceptable wrong. We continue to pray for the victim and for justice to be carried out.”<\/p>\n

The couple, who married in 2024, said they are “angered” by the “unthinkable” actions<\/a> of his brother Joseph.<\/p>\n

“We, like many, have spent the week completely shocked, confused, and grieved to list a few emotions,” Jason and Maddie said in a statement<\/a> shared on Instagram March 26. “We are disgusted to hear the news about my brother, however, this isn’t about how it’s impacted our lives. Our hearts are burdened because a child’s life has been turned upside down due to evil actions of someone who should have never hurt the vulnerable.”<\/p>\n

“Maddie and I have always had a special place in our hearts for the vulnerable around us, and we will continue to do so,” their message went on. “To fathom that someone would abuse their authority to harass the innocent is vile.”<\/p>\n

They asked for prayers for the “brave” victim as well as Joseph’s family, saying, “His children must face the reality of losing a father that should have been a spiritual leader in their lives.”<\/p>\n

“What has come out about my brother is heartbreaking and deeply disturbing,” Joy-Anna wrote on her Instagram Stories March 26. “My heart is with the victim, and I am grieved by the pain and harm caused. I have been a wreck this week and am taking time to process.” <\/p>\n

She added<\/a>, “I will be taking some much-needed time with my family.”<\/p>\n

As for Jinger<\/a>\u2014who moved to Los Angeles with Jeremy in 2019\u2014she said, \u201cI did not think my heart could break like it has this week,\u201d adding, \u201cThe pain and heartbreak that we\u2019ve had over this and just thinking of how it\u2019s affected so many. It\u2019s just unthinkable. It\u2019s so hard and painful on many levels.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard,\u201d she continued. \u201cAll we can do in those moments is cry out to God and ask him to sustain us and give help because you can\u2019t just be prepared for news like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I am sickened, heartbroken and deeply angry,” Joseph’s cousin said in a March 20 statement to People<\/a>. “My first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust.”<\/p>\n

Amy explained<\/a> she was “utterly shocked to hear about these allegations and Joseph\u2019s arrest.”<\/p>\n

“For years, I have spoken out about the importance of truth, accountability and protecting children, even when it meant going against my own family,” she added. “Family ties should never equal automatic trust or access, especially when it comes to the safety of children.”<\/p>\n
