Indiana Fever<\/a> guard Caitlin Clark<\/a> has established herself as one of the biggest names in the WNBA<\/a> early in her career. Through her first two seasons, Clark has averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals per contest in 53 games.<\/p>\n

She was selected to the WNBA All-Star Game in both of her two years, was selected to the 2024 All-WNBA First Team and won the 2024 Rookie of the Year. Clark was taken with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Fever after an incredible collegiate career with the Iowa Hawkeyes and has been with Indiana since.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old played just 13 games during the 2025 season as she suffered a severe groin injury and had a bone bruise in her left knee.<\/p>\n

When she was on the floor last season, Clark put up 16.5 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals. After eight months of being sidelined with the injury, she returned to play with Team USA in the FIBA World Cup qualifier in March.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, weeks before Clark and the Fever begin their preseason for the 2026 WNBA season, it was reported that she made an unexpected move.<\/p>\n

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy revealed that Clark blocked him from calling or texting her.<\/p>\n

“I was going to do a pizza review with her in Indianapolis. Blocked me,\u201d Portnoy said<\/a>, according to Awful Announcing reporter Kevin Harrish. \u201cThe phone went to green. I DM\u2019d her, no response. She always responds.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is a big turn in the relationship between Portnoy and Clark, as Portnoy has previously stated how he was a big fan of the WNBA superstar. He even said at one point that Clark was “one of my favorite athletes,” per Harrish.<\/p>\n

With the men’s NCAA Tournament Final Four happening in Indianapolis, Indiana, this weekend, it will be interesting to see if Portnoy and Clark have any interactions.<\/p>\n
