The limited liability company registered to North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick has been sued for more than $285,000 by a painter who alleged that he sustained \u201cserious bodily injuries\u201d due to \u201cdangerous and unsafe\u201d working conditions at the legendary coach\u2019s Nantucket home, according to the Nantucket Current<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Belichick, who served as the Patriots\u2019 longtime coach before parting ways and ultimately ending up with the Tar Heels, wasn\u2019t specifically named in the lawsuit filed last week in Nantucket Superior Court, but Forty Five Fair Street LLC \u2014 the address of the house, too \u2014 is managed by Belichick, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred in June 2024, when Andrew Jackson, the painter, slipped and fell due to the alleged unsafe conditions, leading to what the lawsuit described<\/a> as a \u201csevere right ankle injury, together with pain, disability, medical expenses, lost wages, and other consequential damages.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the lawsuit, Jackson specifically mentioned alleged plastic sheeting or coverings as part of the unsafe conditions at Belichick\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

Jackson accused Forty Five Fair Street LLC of negligence and premises liability, while claiming in the lawsuit that in addition to the physical pain and bodily injury, he has also suffered from \u201cmental anguish and emotional distress,\u201d medical expenses and \u201cenjoyment of life,\u201d among other items.<\/p>\n

Belichick, who called Nantucket \u201cspectacular\u201d in a 2017 interview with N Magazine<\/a>, purchased the 2,854-square foot property in May 2024 for $4.84 million, according to <\/a>Boston.com.<\/p>\n

At the time, Belichick and the Patriots \u2014 the marriage that led to six Super Bowls and a dynastic run alongside quarterback Tom Brady \u2014 had already parted ways, and after not getting a job in the next NFL cycle, Belichick became North Carolina\u2019s head coach for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

It turned into a disaster.<\/p>\n

The 73-year-old\u2019s relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson led to an increased spotlight and plenty of off-field sagas, and the Tar Heels ended up stumbling to a 4-8 record despite plenty of hype entering the season.<\/p>\n
