Jon Jones is allegedly making headlines for the wrong reasons again.<\/p>\n
On Saturday evening, a video<\/a> circulated on social media that featured a man appearing to be Jones confronting a driver following what the person posting the video claims to have been a road rage incident in Albuquerque, N.M.<\/p>\n Watch the footage below, re-uploaded by Championship Rounds.<\/p>\n In the video, the driver calls out \u201cWhat, bro? Trying to get into? You\u2019re almost f*cking hitting me, bro\u201d as the figure alleged to be the former two-division UFC champion exits his vehicle and approaches. Jones then says, \u201cYou\u2019ve got to calm down, bro,\u201d to which the driver responds, \u201cBro, you\u2019ve got to learn how to drive.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019ve got to relax yourself, bro,\u201d Jones says.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re almost hitting me with your truck, bro,\u201d the driver says. \u201cYou\u2019re almost hitting me, bro, what the f*ck. In my f*cking lane and shit, bro, come on.\u201d<\/p>\n As the driver is speaking, Jones raises a middle finger directly into the camera and then walks off.<\/p>\n The Instagram account, @bryanbeltran6<\/a>, also suggested Jones was armed in the clip.<\/p>\n The alleged encounter is detailed in an accompanying caption, with Jones accused of nearly causing a collision five times.<\/p>\n \u201cDriving up Central Close to Eubank when I was almost hit three times by the truck even after I revved my car at him the first time,\u201d the driver wrote. \u201cIt almost happened, he still almost hit me twice after that so I flipped him off, then he proceeded to stop in the middle of the road back up and come into the same parking lot.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he didn\u2019t realize it was Jones at first, but later realized exactly who he had crossed paths with.<\/p>\n Btw i know its John Jones i didn\u2019t know who it was when i flipped him off but definitely realized who it was quick! no hate or hard feelings towards my guy John but i think he might need to take some driving classes cause he almost him multiple times. Hopefully soon i make another video where we can maybe shake hands and \u201csquash the beef\u201dlol.<\/p>\n The driver also later edited his post to address the multitude of replies he received regarding the alleged incident.<\/p>\n All of you with John\u2019s meat in your mouth relax, it ain\u2019t that deep. I know he was a world champion, and no, I don\u2019t think I could beat him in a fight lol. But like I said, he should still be more careful. Being famous or trained doesn\u2019t matter when it comes to someone pulling a trigger. Anything can happen. And like I said, I don\u2019t carry and didn\u2019t try anything, so I\u2019m not someone to worry about. So take a break from hopping on his shit<\/p>\n On Sunday, Jones responded to the viral clip with a Tweet.<\/p>\n \u201cThis kid proceeded to chase my car down for two blocks, revving his engine and trying to intimidate me. I am glad this happened to me and not one of the senior citizens in our community. I am proud of myself for standing up for myself and not allowing that kind of bullying or intimidation.\u201d<\/p>\n While the circumstances of the video remain in question, Jones unfortunately has a long history of outside-of-the-cage issues, including several vehicle-related mishaps. In April 2015, Jones was involved in a hit-and-run incident in which he was arrested after crashing into another vehicle being driven by a pregnant woman and subsequently fleeing the scene. That resulted in Jones being stripped of a UFC light heavyweight title and then suspended from competition for six months.<\/p>\n Jones has also been arrested for driving under the influence in 2012 and driving while intoxicated in 2020, and was accused of fleeing a traffic accident in February 2025.<\/p>\n
