An investigation is underway and at least two people have been arrested, officials said, after officers responding to a break-in at a home in North Philly, early Monday, found the property filled with young people. <\/p>\n
According to police, the situation unfolded after officers responded to a property along the 1300 block of North 18th Street at about 5:09 a.m. on Monday following the report of a break-in.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving at the scene, officials said, police observed a juvenile enter the backyard of a property through an opened rear door. <\/p>\n
The officers detained this boy, officials said, and then proceeded to enter the property, where they discovered “an additional 12 individuals in the residence — ranging in ages from 14 – 20.” <\/p>\n
A firearm was also discovered at that location, police said. <\/p>\n
At least two people were arrested at the scene but, officials said, more arrests may follow. <\/p>\n
An investigation into this incident is ongoing. <\/p>\n
