Kim Kardashian\u2019s latest TV gig has hit a snag.<\/p>\n
The reality star\u2019s new comedy pilot, \u201cGroup Chat,\u201d has failed to find space at Hulu \u2014 nearly two years into its development.<\/p>\n
Variety reported<\/a> last Friday that Kardashian and La La Anthony\u2019s project, based on the latter\u2019s \u201cThe Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex and Happiness<\/a>\u201d book, was rejected by the streaming platform.<\/p>\n Kim Kardashian (pictured above in \u201cAll\u2019s Fair\u201d in December 2025) and La La Anthony\u2019s \u201cGroup Chat\u201d pilot has been rejected by Hulu. \u00a9Hulu\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n The reality star (pictured above on March 25) announced the project in August 2024. kimkardashian\/instagram<\/p>\n The 45-year-old was set to narrate \u201cGroup Chat\u201d and serve as an executive producer.<\/p>\n When the show was announced in August 2024, Kardashian gushed that she was \u201cincredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated [and] relevant from [her] own experiences and those familiar to [her].\u201d<\/p>\n Anthony, 43, dubbed the series \u2014 starring herself, Yaya DaCosta, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Melanie Liburd and Stephanie Suganami \u2014 \u201cfun and relatable\u201d during the \u201cVibes & Views\u201d podcast<\/a> the following year.<\/p>\n The Skims founder was set to executive produce and narrate the series, starring Anthony (pictured above in September 2023), among others. Let\u2019s sell this show.\u2019 That\u2019s how \u2018Group Chat\u2019 was born.\u201d<\/p>\n Although the project has since been scrapped, the pals will, instead, executive produce an untitled comedy series by Tracy Oliver, according to Variety.<\/p>\n The show follows \u201cthe Bay Area\u2019s most sought-after crisis manager for professional athletes\u201d as The character, per the series\u2019 logline, \u201cturns to the three women who\u2019ve been by her side through every version of her life [and] together they navigate dating, ambition, motherhood and the glamorous mess of starting over.\u201d<\/p>\n The pals (pictured above in February 2024) will executive produce a Tracy Oliver comedy series instead, Variety reported Friday.
