Even at 66, Mark Martin hasn\u2019t lost a step, at least where it counts. While many of his peers and fellow NASCAR<\/a> comrades have stepped away from the sport, Martin remains deeply invested, keeping tabs on all three NASCAR National Series.\u00a0Recently, the veteran went ballistic against the CW commentary team during the NASCAR Xfinity Series feature, HyVee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway.<\/p>\n

There might have been a championship missing from his long and illustrious career, but the veteran more than made up for it with heart and pure class. To this day, many consider him the best driver to never win a title, a resounding testament to his race craft and the way he carried himself both on and off track.<\/p>\n

The former Roush Racing superstar came agonizingly close to a Cup title five times, but his longevity became his legacy. Even more impressively, he still holds the second most wins in what is now known as the Xfinity Series (formerly known as the Busch Series). So, when someone with that pedigree speaks out, it\u2019s often hard not to listen.<\/p>\n

Recently, the legend spoke out against the lackluster coverage of Saturday\u2019s Xfinity Series race. Apparently, Martin<\/a> was watching the event live from the comfort of his living room when the bland, repetitive commentary got his attention. And true to his form, the veteran didn\u2019t stay silent; instead, he took to social media to publicly voice his grievances in classic, non-nonsense fashion.<\/p>\n

The veteran felt<\/a> the commentary team focused too heavily on the postseason and the chase, overshadowing what truly matters: the racing itself. And for Martin, that has always been the heart of the sport beyond titles, accolades, and, of course, the glitz and glamour.<\/p>\n

Every other sentence on today\u2019s broadcast has been Playoff and championship. Damn cover the race a little bit. We are watching a race too.<\/p>\n
