{"id":568781,"date":"2026-04-06T23:55:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T23:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/568781\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T23:55:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T23:55:06","slug":"leaders-from-the-united-states-forest-service-tour-areas-of-the-colville-reservation-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/568781\/","title":{"rendered":"Leaders from the United States Forest Service tour areas of the Colville Reservation | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Nespelem, WA &#8211; On January 6th, the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation had the pleasure of hosting several leaders from the United States Forest Service for a tour of the Moses Meadows and Coyote Creek areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Joining the tour were:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tom Schultz, Chief, USDA Forest Service<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Jacqueline Buchanan, Regional Forester, Pacific Northwest Region<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Josh White, Forest Supervisor, Colville National Forest<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tara Umphries, Forest Supervisor, Okanogan\u2010Wenatchee National Forest<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reed Robinson, Director, Forest Service Tribal Relations<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Chairman Erickson and Council Member Pat Tonasket joined Tribal staff in guiding the visit as we toured the area. During the tour, our team shared the Tribe\u2019s approach to forest management and the work that is currently underway building healthier, more fire\u2010resilient forests.
