As Kim Kardashian reached a new milestone in her budding romance with Lewis Hamilton \u2014\u00a0going Instagram-official<\/a> Monday with a Reel that shows her smiling in the passenger seat of a Ferrari while the Formula 1 driver does donuts \u2014\u00a0insiders reveal what her ex-husband Kanye West really thinks of the relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a good thing.\u00a0Kanye [isn\u2019t] questioning \u2018Is Lewis a good person?\u2019 He\u2019s a sweet, smart person, a good person and an incredible athlete,\u201d a source close to West, 48, said, adding that Hamilton is an \u201cacquaintance\u201d of the rapper\u2019s inner circle.<\/p>\n

Last month, Hamilton, 41, accompanied Kardashian and three of her kids with West \u2014\u00a0 daughter Chicago, 8, and sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 6 \u2014\u00a0on vacation in Tokyo. Eldest daughter North, 12, was not seen in posted photos from the trip.<\/p>\n

Hamilton and Saint were spotted in a fan video\u00a0shopping together<\/a>\u00a0at SNKRDUNK, a store selling shoes, clothing and rare Pok\u00e9mon cards.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe feels at peace right now with Lewis being around his kids,\u201d the source said of West.\u00a0\u201cHe was trustful about that. He loves [Kardashian, 45] in a way that he wants [the best for] her wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a big difference from how West felt about Pete Davidson, Kardashian\u2019s first big public romance after splitting from West in February 2021. <\/p>\n

Hamilton and Kardashian have been spotted in Tokyo recently, along with at least three of her four kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did hate Pete Davidson,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

Kardashian dated the comedian while she and West were embroiled in a messy divorce, finalized in November 2022. During that nine-month relationship, West released a song threatening to \u201cbeat Pete Davidson\u2019s ass<\/a>\u201d and released a music video in which he kidnapped and buried a cartoon version<\/a> of the comedian, who he snidely nicknamed \u201cSkete.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat made me feel really sad,\u201d Kardashian told \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d host Alex Cooper in October 2025. \u201cThat really wasn\u2019t fair for [Davidson].\u201d<\/p>\n

The source said that, back then, West \u201cwas traumatized because he lost the love of his life\u201d \u2014\u00a0adding that, now, the rapper \u201cadmits why he lost her \u2026 He brought a lot of chaos to her \u2026 but he also brought chaos to the world. He looks back and says \u2018Oh my god.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he [Ye] feels at peace right now with Lewis being around his kids. Which is the main thing.\u00a0He was trustful about that,\u201d the friend of West (above) and Hamilton told Page Six. BACKGRID<\/p>\n

Kardashian has blamed West\u2019s \u201ctoxic\u201d behavior for their split, referring to his manic \u201cepisodes\u201d on \u201cCall Her Daddy.\u201d (West has spoken about being diagnosed as bipolar and called it his \u201csuperpower.\u201d)<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids, grandmother, aunts \u2014 all of those feelings,\u201d Kardashian told Alex Cooper, adding that her ex had also revealed too many personal issues, including when he publicly said\u00a0they had considered getting an abortion\u00a0<\/a>during her pregnancy with North.<\/p>\n

She also cited \u201clack of stability\u201d and \u201cnot feeling safe emotionally and financially\u201d in the marriage, recalling that she might come home to five new Lamborghinis, only for West to give them away to friends in the midst of \u201can episode.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, the source said, \u201cYe is at peace. He\u2019s back doing his music, doing his fashion focusing on his positives and the gratitude.\u201d The rapper also\u00a0\u201cwants kids\u201d with Bianca Censori, his wife since 2022, and \u201che\u2019s got interesting names laid out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, West played two sold-out comeback concerts at Los Angeles\u2019 SoFi Stadium, though Wednesday\u2019s show was riddled with technical issues <\/a>that caused him to berate his crew from the stage.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Pepsi and Diageo pulled out as sponsors of the upcoming Wireless music festival in London because of West headlining it. <\/p>\n

Kardashian was photographed with Jared Leto, Hamilton, West and fashion designer Olivier Rousteing back in 2015, while married to the rapper. Jacopo M. Raule<\/p>\n

In 2023, the rapper wore a black Ku Klux Klan hood<\/a> to his \u201cVultures\u201d album listening party, and he promoted swastika T-shirts<\/a> in a 2025 Super Bowl ad.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the March 28 release of West\u2019s 12th album, \u201cBully,\u201d he took out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to apologize for past antisemitic and anti-black comments.<\/p>\n
