REUTERS\/Elizabeth Frantz\/File Photo<\/p>\n<p>April 6 (Reuters) &#8211; White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett \u200ctold CNBC on Monday \u200cthat he believes a &#8220;supply shock&#8221; in \u200bthe U.S. economy caused by capital spending and higher productivity from <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> will allow \u200cthe Federal \u2060Reserve to lower interest rates.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If we have a \u2060supply shock like we&#8217;re seeing because of all this \u200bcapital spending &#8230; \u200bAI \u200bincreasing productivity, it \u200cputs downward, downward pressure on inflation, and that should take the pressure off the Fed.
