PHOENIX \u2014 Questions surrounding whether Dillon Brooks would be available to play against the Houston Rockets have been resolved, with the NBA rescinding his 18th technical foul issued Sunday.<\/p>\n

Brooks received the technical foul against the Chicago Bulls in the fourth quarter, along with a double technical assessed to Bulls\u2019 Mac McClung. The Phoenix Suns forward faced a one-game suspension if the league upheld the foul, which is automatically issued every two games after a player receives a 16th technical.<\/p>\n

The forward has previously been suspended this season due to technical foul trouble.<\/p>\n

What made this potential suspension even more notable was that the Suns are still chasing a playoff berth with four games remaining in the regular season. As one of the team\u2019s offensive leaders and tone setters on the court, Brooks\u2019 absence would have once again shaken up the lineup.<\/p>\n

It would also have added more time away from the team. With Brooks trying to rebuild chemistry after being sidelined for over a month with a left-hand fracture, every minute on the court is valuable in getting him back up to speed.<\/p>\n

Some Phoenix fans have expressed frustration over the technical fouls Brooks has received, with some even suggesting he is being \u201ctargeted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been watching, and it\u2019s just not fair to keep penalizing him like this,\u201d Mary John wrote to Burn City Sports. \u201cPrayers for him. I\u2019ve been watching, just a simple move, he gets penalized.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others say the forward needs to be more mindful of his actions during the most important stretch of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a professional, and he has to keep a lid on his actions, knowing what\u2019s at stake,\u201d wrote Terry Adams.<\/p>\n

With Brooks officially available to play against his former team, the Suns aim to win as many games as possible to take control of the No. 6 seed and avoid the play-in tournament. With three games back in the standings and four games remaining, the team will need all hands on deck to clinch the final playoff spot.<\/p>\n

The Suns take on the Rockets on Tuesday, April 7, at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
