Retired NCAA gymnast Olivia \u201cLivvy\u201d Dunne said her first in-person acting audition was for the fourth season of \u201cThe White Lotus\u201d on HBO, and she did not book the role. <\/p>\n

During an interview for April\u2019s Boardroom cover story<\/a>, Dunne explained that \u201cI felt like I was an athlete again\u201d while auditioning for the dark comedy hotel series. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was obviously a bit nervous at first. I was like, \u2018Oh man, what if I forget the lines.\u2019 Pause. I\u2019ve done things way harder than this in my life. Whoa. I flipped on a beam in front of 13,500 people,\u201d Dunne told Boardroom co-founder Rich Kleiman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s different. I think I would rather have done a backflip in front of the casting director, but I mean, I went there, I put it all out there. It was my first audition. <\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know what to expect, and it was honestly really fun. And I\u2019ve done a few more auditions since. Not in person, but that one was pretty cool. I did enjoy doing it in person. It felt like I was an athlete again.\u201d <\/p>\n

Dunne, who is currently filming in Venice Beach for the new \u201cBaywatch\u201d reboot series, explained that she has done \u201clots of auditions\u201d while working with an acting coach. <\/p>\n

\u201cNaturally, I gravitate towards things that are more creative,\u201d Dunne said. \u201cMy family is quite creative. I come from a family of entrepreneurs. I would love to dive into acting. I\u2019ve been doing lots of auditions and rehearsing scripts and getting used to that lifestyle, which has been amazing because it\u2019s something I\u2019ve been passionate about ever since I was in college. <\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t find the balance between being a student athlete and working with brands. So it\u2019s something I took on after college and it\u2019s been so much fun. I have my mom standing there helping me memorize the scripts. I have an amazing acting coach.\u201d <\/p>\n

Dunne, who will be making her acting debut, was cast in a recurring role as a lifeguard in the \u201cBaywatch\u201d reboot, coming to Fox during the 2026-27 television season.<\/p>\n

The New Jersey native, who continues to capitalize on brand deals and partnerships, turned to modeling at the end of her college career at LSU.<\/p>\n

After making her debut with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in 2023 with a rookie feature in Puerto Rico, Dunne returns to the 2026 SI Swimsuit Issue, set to release next month, in her fourth appearance with the iconic brand.<\/p>\n

Dunne\u00a0announced her retirement from gymnastics in April 2025, following the Tigers\u2019 third-place finish in the NCAA semifinals.<\/p>\n

She returned for her fifth and final year of eligibility after helping LSU win a National Championship in 2024. <\/p>\n
