Brock Lesnar returned to WWE for the first time in two years after being named in the bombshell civil sexual lawsuit against Vince McMahon.<\/p>\n
Lesnar\u2019s music hit for his stunning return after Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to win the Undisputed WWE championship in the main event of Night 2 at SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
Lesnar, whose last appearance was at SummerSlam in 2023, delivered his F5 finisher to a stunned Cena to set up a match later this year during the \u201cPeacemaker\u201d star\u2019s retirement run.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the former UFC heavyweight champion\u2019s first time on the company\u2019s programming since his name came up in allegations made against the former WWE boss, McMahon, made by ex-employee Janel Grant. She accuses him of sexual assault and sex trafficking.<\/p>\n
Grant filed the suit in January 2024. The original complaint did not include Lesnar\u2019s name, only referencing a \u201cworld-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion\u201d whom McMahon was trying to sign at the time. Lesnar, who is not a defendant in the case, was officially named by Grant in federal court in an amended complaint in February.<\/p>\n
Grant accused McMahon of asking her to create \u201cpersonalized sexual content\u201d for Lesnar in July 2021 during his contract negotiations. She also alleges McMahon flew Lesnar to Connecticut in 2021 for a sexual encounter that ended up not happening.<\/p>\n

McMahon\u2019s attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, called Grant naming Lesnar in the suit, a \u201cpublicity stunt\u201d in February.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs expected, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign,\u201d McMahon attorney Jessica Rosenberg said in a statement to ESPN at the time. \u201cIt is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lesnar has been persona non grata around WWE since then, with his merchandise being taken down from WWE Shop and his playable character, along with McMahon\u2019s, being removed from the WWE 2K24 video game. Lesnar was rumored to be returning at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but the appearance was scrapped after the news of the lawsuit broke<\/p>\n
The lawsuit accuses McMahon of causing her physical harm with his fists and other objects, including sex toys, along with locking her in a WWE office before he and another WWE executive took turns sexually assaulting her. She also accused McMahon in the lawsuit of forcing her into sexual relationships to keep her job.<\/p>\n

McMahon has denied the allegations against him,<\/p>\n
At the time, his legal team called the lawsuit \u201creplete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMy reaction was exactly what I thought it was gonna be, which was, if there had been a roof on this place, it wouldn\u2019t be here anymore,\u201d Triple H, WWE\u2019s chief content officer, said during the SummerSlam post show.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe dynamic in the room in WWE changes when The Beast is here,\u201d he added. \u201cSeeing Brock Lesnar come back, anything that you thought was happening sort of all goes out the window because the factor of Brock now just changes that dynamic so incredibly. It makes it unpredictable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Triple H seemed to insinuation that Cena wanted to work with Lesnar during his final run. When asked about lining up Cena\u2019s opponents he called it the 17-time world champion\u2019s \u201cwish list\u201d and that it\u2019s about John being able to go out the way he wants to go out.<\/p>\n
