\n\tTom Holland<\/a> has watched Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a> and has some epic praise for the upcoming mythic adventure film. <\/p>\n

\n\tSpeaking to GQ<\/a>, the actor said, \u201cI can tell you that it is an absolute masterpiece, and I\u2019m taking myself out of that equation.\u201d Holland added the \u201cfantastic\u201d film was full of stunning practical effects. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s unlike anything that I\u2019ve ever seen before,\u201d Holland said. \u201cI think when I saw the movie, I found myself asking a question that I haven\u2019t asked about a movie for a long time, which is, \u2018How did you do that?’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tContinued Holland: \u201cThere were certain sequences in the movie where I\u2019m watching it and I\u2019m just sort of thinking like, \u2018How on earth has he done that? That has to be CG.\u2019 And then after [watching] the movie [I asked Nolan], \u2018That was definitely CG, right?\u2019 And he\u2019s like, \u2018No, no, no, that\u2019s all in camera effects. Very planned, very prepared.\u2019 So I think fans are going to be really, really blown away by the set pieces and sequences throughout the movie, because even as someone that was there on the day and was in the film, I was absolutely blown away by the scale, the scope, his ability to navigate such an intricate and heartfelt story in the middle of this insane kind of action movie. So it\u2019s one of my proudest achievements as an actor and I\u2019m so touched that Chris gave me the opportunity to be in the film.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHolland also talked about his upcoming Sony-Marvel sequel Spider-Man: Brand New Day, for which he was recently shooting brand new footage. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor noted that he was in London filming additional scenes for the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed movie, which is released in theaters July 31 (while The Odyssey is released one week earlier, July 17). <\/p>\n

\n\tCalling the new footage \u201creally, really fun,\u201d Holland emphasized that the reshoots didn\u2019t mean that the film wasn\u2019t already good. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI can positively say that the stuff we\u2019re doing, we don\u2019t need,\u201d he said. \u201cThe movie works and sings as it is. We\u2019re just adding the icing on the cake in certain areas. We\u2019re finding some ways to add a little bit more humor. We\u2019re layering in a villain plotline in a new way and some really fun stuff.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tMarvel boss Kevin Feige is an advocate for having a flexible and evolving script and making changes during filming and after principal photography, a process he calls \u201cplus-ing.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tLast July, Feige described to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> how there was \u201cplus-ing\u201d constantly on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s plus-ing happening every day on the\u00a0Avengers: Doomsday\u00a0set right now, and it is amazing to watch because what those filmmakers, those actors, both the ones that are playing these characters for the first or second time and the one playing them for the 10th or 12th time, are the best in the world at it, and know these characters so well,\u201d said Feige. \u201cSo if they have an idea, you want to listen to it and you want to adjust to it and you want to improve it.
