\n\tPopular YouTube creator IShowSpeed<\/a> is lending his voice \u2014 and high-energy personality \u2014 to an anime-style series in the works at Brian Robbins<\/a>\u2018 Big Shot Pictures<\/a> production start-up.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile plot details are being kept under wraps for now, the show will introduce an animated character of IShowSpeed, marking this as one of his first narrative-driven projects. Big Shot is set to go out with the package soon.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series will be written by Matt Owens, who served as co-showrunner on the first two seasons of Netflix\u2019s hit \u201cOne Piece\u201d before announcing last year that he would be stepping away from that show<\/a> to focus on his mental health. Owens also is set to produce alongside Robbins for Big Shot. In addition, filmmaker and actor Harmony Korine is attached as a producer.<\/p>\n

\n\tIShowSpeed (real name: Darren Jason Watkins Jr.) has more than 52 million subscribers for his YouTube channel. The 21-year-old is known for his viral IRL streams and videos spanning sports, gaming, music videos, travel and more. IShowSpeed took home the Streamer of the Year top honors at the 2024 and 2025 Streamer Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve always loved anime, so being able to create something like this is a dream come true for me,\u201d IShowSpeed said in a statement. \u201cThe team behind this project is incredibly talented, and I can\u2019t wait for my fans around the world to see what we\u2019re building together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRobbins said, \u201cSpeed is a one-of-a-kind creative force whose ability to connect with audiences transcends borders and platforms. As a performer, he\u2019s built a truly global fanbase, and we\u2019re excited to help bring his voice and vision to life in a completely new way through this series.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIShowSpeed is repped by CAA. Matt Owens is repped by CAA, Circle Management + Production, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.<\/p>\n

\n\tRobbins is the former co-CEO of Paramount Global who exited the company in August 2025 with the merger that formed Paramount Skydance<\/a>. As head of Paramount Pictures, he oversaw the studio\u2019s theatrical slate and major family franchises, including Sonic the Hedgehog, SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe launched Big Shot Pictures earlier this year<\/a>. The company has a first-look theatrical distribution deal with Sony Pictures\u00a0Entertainment, spanning both animated and hybrid live-action films. In addition, Big Shot has acquired the rights to children\u2019s book series \u201cEloise at the Plaza,\u201d created by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight, for adaptation and expansion across multiple platforms, including film, TV and consumer products.<\/p>\n
