It looks like Meryl Streep<\/a> accidentally stumbled her way into recreating a Met Gala-inspired meme while filming \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada\u201d sequel in New York on Friday.<\/p>\n

During a scene, the Oscar-winner was photographed falling on the steps of New York\u2019s Natural History Museum in what looked to be a real-life stand-in for Vogue\u2019s highly exclusive annual benefit.<\/p>\n

In the snaps, a red gown-clad Streep was bowled over in laughter while co-star Stanley Tucci looked on, flanked by extras in couture.<\/p>\n

While Streep\u2019s slip looked to be an on-set accident, the moment bears a striking resemblance to a long-running internet joke that pops up every Met season.<\/p>\n

Each May, social media resurrects a viral photo of a man<\/a> in a white suit tumbling down a red carpet staircase, falsely claiming it shows Jason Derulo<\/a> taking a spill at the 2015 gala.<\/p>\n

Despite the meme\u2019s perennial popularity, and endless jokes about Derulo\u2019s alleged clumsiness, the photo isn\u2019t of him at all. In fact, Derulo wasn\u2019t even at the Met Gala that year (or any year, for that matter.)<\/p>\n

And the mystery man in white? Still unknown.<\/p>\n
