A new report paints a downbeat economic outlook for Minnesota.<\/p>\n
A Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and Hospitality Minnesota survey shows consumers are pulling back due to economic uncertainty and tightening budgets. They\u2019re becoming less likely to visit their favorite restaurants, hotels and resorts.<\/p>\n
Mohamed Sewiean, owner of New Victorian Mansion Bed and Breakfast, says he\u2019s lost 20% of his business because of ICE raids, tariffs and higher gas prices.<\/p>\n
RELATED: Experts say Sunday is best time to buy gas, with prices expected to rise through the rest of the week<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI was getting cancelations at least every other day,\u201d Sewiean said.<\/p>\n They\u2019ve added new pricing packages to try to attract more guests.<\/p>\n \u201cIt makes the mansion more accessible for more people to come and visit,\u201d Sewiean said.<\/p>\n The survey shows nearly half were pessimistic for the next six months.
