{"id":573655,"date":"2026-04-09T10:14:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T10:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/573655\/"},"modified":"2026-04-09T10:14:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T10:14:10","slug":"amazon-exec-expects-to-stream-a-super-bowl-in-the-fullness-of-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/573655\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon exec expects to stream a Super Bowl &#8220;in the fullness of time&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Given the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/the-nfls-broadcast-antitrust-exemption-remains-under-attack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ongoing assault<\/a> against the NFL\u2019s broadcast antitrust exemption, the league may want to ask Amazon to stop talking about streaming a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>In comments to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Prime Video executive Jay Marine reiterated the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7176298\/2026\/04\/08\/amazon-prime-video-the-masters-jack-nicklaus-golf\/?source=athletic_user_shared_article_twitter&amp;smid=tw-share-ta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">company\u2019s interest<\/a> in televising the biggest game of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor us, our ambition has always been to broadcast the absolute best, the pinnacle of live sports,\u201d Marine told Marchand. \u201cWe never thought we wouldn\u2019t do that in the fullness of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What about a Super Bowl on Prime Video?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the fullness of time, I absolutely expect that will happen,\u201d Marine told Marchand. \u201cOur desire is for that to happen in the fullness of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time Marine has used the phrase \u201cin the fullness of time.\u201d In September, Marine said Amazon would like to stream a Super Bowl \u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/amazon-is-optimistic-about-streaming-a-super-bowl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">in the fullness of time<\/a>.\u201d So what does that term mean?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s pretty self-explanatory,\u201d Marine told Marchand. \u201cHow about: I\u2019m still walking on this earth. How about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s clearly not the best time for Amazon to be talking about taking a Super Bowl away from free TV.
