The Indiana Fever<\/a> and Lexie Hull could have more time together.<\/p>\n

Hull is a free agent as part of the WNBA’s huge class of available players this offseason, but there’s a catch \u2014 she’s a restricted free agent.<\/p>\n

That means that Hull can negotiate with any other team, just like an unrestricted free agent. But the restricted part comes into play if Hull gets an actual offer.<\/p>\n

If another WNBA team extends Hull an offer sheet, the Fever have the right of first refusal. They can match any offer sheet given to Hull and keep her.<\/p>\n

That’s because the Fever did extend a qualifying offer to Hull earlier this week, according to the Indy Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Without a qualifying offer, Hull would’ve become an unrestricted free agent.<\/p>\n

With the qualifying offer, Hull seems likely to remain with the Fever unless another team makes her an unexpectedly large offer.<\/p>\n

Hull just completed her four-year rookie contract with the Fever after being the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft.<\/p>\n

She started 30 of her 44 games in 2026 and averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Hull shot 36.3% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n

Hull doesn’t have to dive deep into free agency if she doesn’t want to, either. Because she has the qualifying offer in hand, she could just let that sit and stick with Indiana without even pursuing other offer sheets.<\/p>\n

She has become a fan favorite for the Fever as a solid role player alongside superstar Caitlin Clark, and it seems likely that Hull will be staying put for the 2026 WNBA season.<\/p>\n
