While the crew of the Artemis II<\/a> journeyed to the dark side of the moon, pilot Victor Glover’s daughter has been keeping things light on social media.<\/p>\n

On April 6, the same day the astronauts shared never-before-seen snapshots from space, Maya Glover, a student at California Polytechnic State University, shared a video on Instagram<\/a> that has received almost 1 million likes in three days. <\/p>\n

In the video, Maya unzips her hoodie to reveal a T-shirt emblazoned with an image of her astronaut father. She begins a joyous celebration dance \u2014 but playfully stumbles in the middle.<\/p>\n

Over the video is this text: “When your dad successfully pilots Artemis II halfway to the moon … & u forget the dance.” Korn\u2019s \u201cFreak On a Leash\u201d plays in the background.<\/p>\n

Apparently Maya’s sense of humor is as sharp as her dancing skills. And everyone is taking notice.<\/p>\n

Maya’s video caught the attention of the official Instagram account, which commented, “This quite literally makes you generationally iconic.” The Starbucks account called Maya “first daughter of the moon,” while the Walmart account quipped, “‘Yeah my dad is out of this world.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The official Las Vegas account wrote what we are all thinking: “I would bring this up in every conversation.”<\/p>\n

Other comments include:<\/p>\n

“Genuinely the biggest flex anyone could have.””Coolest dad on and off the planet, no contest.””He really does love you to the moon and back.”<\/p>\n

Victor Glover is the father to four daughters altogether, and from some of Maya’s family photos<\/a> \u2014 and from the sweet messages he sent them from space<\/a> \u2014 you can see how much he loves them.<\/p>\n

Maya also posted a series of slides of her family on TikTok<\/a> with this text: “The kid that built rockets in the garage wearing her father’s aviator helmet just watched her dad launch to the moon on the most powerful rocket humans have ever built. For all mankind.” In the background, \u201cWhite Keys\u201d by Dominic Fike is playing.<\/p>\n

The 10-day Artemis II mission is almost complete<\/a>. It is expected to splash down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego at approximately 8:07 p.m. ET on April 10. <\/p>\n
