SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) \u2014 A newly released jobs report shows the Beehive State is ahead of the national average in key economic factors, including unemployment and job growth.<\/p>\n
According to the Department of Workforce Services, the state added 10,500 jobs since January 2025.<\/p>\n
Utah’s unemployment rate now sits at 3.8%, while the national rate is 4.3%.<\/p>\n

InformationTrade, transportation, and utilitiesLeisure and hospitality<\/p>\n
The Department of Workforce Services said Utah\u2019s job market grew more slowly than estimated. <\/p>\n
\u201cUtah\u2019s job market grew more slowly than initially estimated over 2025, with the final annual job growth rate settling at 1.3%,\u201d Ben Crabb, the chief economist with the Department of Workforce Services, said in a press release. \u201cWhile the labor market slowdown is becoming more widespread, the state\u2019s unemployment rate remains in low territory at 3.8%, and the overall job count continues to expand.\u201d<\/p>\n
