Perkins’ visit was also previously reported by NFL draft insider Ryan Fowler. Muhammad is a new name, and this group of three brings the Steelers up to 24 pre-draft visitors, and 27 when including local visits.

All three project as mid-round prospects. Burke has been a riser among the offensive line group and he has versatility to play both tackle and guard. In our scouting report, Ryan Paglia praised his run blocking and called Burke a “true mauler.” He has impressive size at 6086 and 325 pounds, making him one of the biggest offensive linemen in the draft.

Perkins served in multiple roles at LSU. At times, he lined up off the edge and rushed the passer and also played a STAR role. However, he’s likely going to be an off-ball linebacker in the NFL despite measuring in at 6010, 223 pounds. Ryan Paglia gave Perkins a 7.8 (spot starter) grade in our scouting report and compared him favorably to Zach Baun, the Philadelphia Eagles’ standout linebacker.

Muhammad is a potential Day 2 option, and he’s one of the better cornerbacks after the first crop of projected Round 1 and Round 2 players. Last year at Texas, he had two interceptions and four passes defensed. Our scouting report was high on Muhammad, giving him an 8.7 (long-time starter) grade with Ryan Paglia comparing him to a young Marcus Peters.

The Steelers have shown plenty of interest in corners who could fall out of the first round, also bringing in San Diego State’s Chris Johnson, as well as Washington’s Ephesians Prysock and Tacario Davis for pre-draft visits. Muhammad is closer to Davis in terms of where he’s likely going to be drafted, and he could be an option for the Steelers with one of their four Day 2 picks. Perkins makes sense as an uber-athletic linebacker to help add depth to a position that needs it, especially with Patrick Queen a free agent after 2026.

Meanwhile, Burke is a developmental tackle prospect who could be worth a flier with Broderick Jones and Dylan Cook both free agents after 2026, assuming the team doesn’t pick up Jones’ fifth-year option.

The Steelers will likely wrap up their pre-draft visits next week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Texas CB Malik Muhammad, LSU LB Harold Perkins and Memphis OT Travis Burke…

[35
253440,253441,44817,99,38129,253442,3795
0":"post-576849","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sports","8":"tag-harold-perkins-jr","9":"tag-malik-muhammad","10":"tag-mike-defabo","11":"tag-sports","12":"tag-the-athletic","13":"tag-travis-burke","14":"tag-trending
["GET
