NFL Network\u2019s Mike Garafolo did not make Deebo Samuel too happy at the end of an NFL Network interview when he appeared to accidentally reveal that the Commanders\u2019 new wide receiver was dealing with a finger injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The awkward moment happened just as the interview was wrapping up and Garafolo began explaining why he wasn\u2019t going to shake Samuel\u2019s hand.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cDeebo Samuel joined us on Inside Training Camp live. Usually, I give a handshake when a guy leaves,\u201d Garafolo said.<\/p>\n

Then things quickly took a turn as Garafolo started to reveal too much, with Samuel looking less than thrilled.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I tried to shake your hand on the way up, you said, \u2018No, no, no, no. I got a little \u2014 I jammed my finger today. Jammed my finger,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Seeing the unhappy look on Samuel\u2019s face or NFL Network analyst Marc Ross, Garafolo paused and asked, \u201cOh, was I not supposed to say that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Ross indicated that he wasn\u2019t, and Garafolo attempted to get out of the interview without anymore goofs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAlright, edit that part out,\u201d Garafolo replied. \u201cStrike that, it didn\u2019t happen. I\u2019ll give him a left-handed fist bump. I ain\u2019t getting anything now.\u201d<\/p>\n

That led to Samuel eventually saying, \u201cDamn, you fumbled the bag bad,\u201d according to Awful Announcing<\/a>.<\/p>\n Samuel\u2019s reaction was a bit odd, considering that the jammed finger had already been reported on by others at training camp.<\/p>\n Samuel apparently jammed the finger after taking a pass from Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels that hit his hands, ESPN reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n
