Retirement is starting to feel uncertain, especially for younger generations in Finland. With an aging population, falling birth rates, and policy changes on the horizon, Finland’s pension system faces real pressures.<\/p>\n

“It’s not a pyramid scheme…the only way to have a pension system go bankrupt is to stop all economic activity, both in Finland and in the world,” Mikko Kautto from the Finnish Centre for Pensions told the show<\/p>\n

We ask whether the system is really a pyramid scheme and explore the numbers. We examine gender gaps in average payouts and the surprising challenges low-paid workers may face.<\/p>\n

We also take your pension questions<\/a> to the experts to find out what retirement means for those who’ve worked abroad or plan to retire internationally.<\/p>\n
