Katseye\u2019s Manon Bannerman didn\u2019t join the group\u2019s Coachella performance last night.<\/p>\n

She was, however, at the festival and posted a message to fans from there.<\/p>\n

The group\u2019s entertainment company HYBE confirmed she wouldn\u2019t join them onstage on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Katseye performed at Coachella as just a fivesome<\/a> on Friday night\u2014but their sixth member, Manon Bannerman, was at the festival. Bannerman posted an Instagram Story from Coachella with a message to fans, writing, \u201c6 milli of u, sending warm hugs and kisses to all of u. thank you.\u201d She was also seen watching<\/a> Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s set with Chappell Ronan.<\/p>\n

Katseye\u2019s entertainment company, HYBE, told The Korea Herald<\/a> on Thursday that Bannerman would not be part of the group\u2019s Friday night performance. \u201cManon remains on hiatus,\u201d HYBE said.<\/p>\n

HYBE and Bannerman announced her hiatus from the group in February. HYBE said in a statement<\/a>, \u201cAfter open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing. We fully support this decision. Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right. Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bannerman later shared her own message<\/a> on Weverse, telling fans, \u201cHi friends. I want you to hear this from me. I\u2019m healthy, I\u2019m okay, and I\u2019m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don\u2019t fully control, but I\u2019m trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can\u2019t wait to see you again.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear whether Bannerman will ultimately return to Katseye. She gave fans an update about her conversations with HYBE on April 3 after drawing attention for removing \u201cKatseye\u201d<\/a> from her Instagram bio.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way,\u201d Bannerman wrote on Weverse<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time. HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I\u2019m happy and I\u2019m healthy. I’ll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of the group\u2019s performance, Nylon<\/a> published a new cover story with the group on April 7. Bannerman was part of the interview and shoot, which were conducted before her announced break.<\/p>\n

She discussed what being in Katseye had taught her about online commentary. \u201cWhat we\u2019ve learned about what it takes to be an artist is not paying too much attention to what is happening online,\u201d she said. \u201cI think once you get famous, there\u2019s so many opinions all of a sudden about you. Everyone\u2019s judging and having something to say. Just keep building a wall between all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lara, meanwhile, spoke about the girls\u2019 hopes for their Coachella performance: \u201cI think Coachella is going to be a very huge and iconic moment for us,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re all very obviously inspired by Beychella and Blackpink Coachella and how much effort they\u2019ve put into their Coachella performances. We want it to be very grand and this big pivotal moment for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
