Officials emphasized that the public should not attempt to approach or capture the kangaroo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t approach it,\u201d the post warned, noting the animal could become aggressive. The message referenced videos of kangaroos \u201csquaring up like a boxer,\u201d underscoring the potential risk of injury.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have set up what they jokingly referred to as a \u201ckangaroo locator hotline\u201d at 620-724-8274 for sightings.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear how the kangaroo ended up loose or how long it has been in the area.
