\u201cHi, everybody, good morning and welcome to \u2018Today.\u2019 Nice to have you with us on a Monday morning,\u201d Guthrie kicked off before turning to her friend and placing a hand on her arm. \u201cI\u2019m so glad to have you here, Hoda!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so happy sitting next to you in this chair again,\u201d Kotb responded as Guthrie added, \u201cYeah, it\u2019s good. It\u2019s just like the old times!\u201d<\/p>\n
She then explained that Hoda, 61, is filling in for Craig Melvin, who is on a \u201cwell-deserved vacation with his family this week.\u201d <\/p>\n

The last time Kotb and Guthrie sat together at the \u201cToday\u201d show desk was on the former\u2019s final day as a host<\/a> on Jan. 10, 2025.<\/p>\n Kotb and Guthrie previously co-hosted the morning program from 2018 to 2025, making history as the first all-female duo.<\/p>\n Kotb filled in for her colleague<\/a> earlier this year while her pal took a leave of absence<\/a> over mom Nancy Guthrie\u2019s devastating disappearance<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe always talk about our show as a family. We are a family, I\u2019m part of the family,\u201d Kotb explained to Melvin in February. \u201cI\u2019m happy to be with you because we show up for each other.
