LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Review: High-Upside Adds for a Loaded Roster

This wasn’t a draft about immediate impact—it was about fit, upside, and development within a championship system.

Janiah Barker — The Headliner at No. 29

Barker stands out as a potential steal late in the second round. At 6-foot-4, she brings size, athleticism, and positional flexibility—traits that align perfectly with how the Aces like to play.

She’s not being asked to carry a scoring load right away, which is ideal. Instead, Barker can:

Develop behind elite veterans

Focus on defense and rebounding

Grow into a stretch-forward role over time

In a system led by head coach Becky Hammon, that’s a recipe for long-term success.

Jordan Obi — A Developmental Piece with Tools

Obi is more of a project pick, but one with clear upside. Coming out of Kentucky, she offers:

Length and energy in the frontcourt

Rebounding instincts

A motor that could earn her a roster spot in camp battles

Comment with Bubbles

BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT

For a team like Las Vegas, the third round is about finding players who can earn their way into a role, and Obi fits that mold.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Review: High-Upside Adds for a Loaded Roster This wasn’t a draft about immediate impact—it…

[73
99,434
post-583178","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-wnba","tag-sports","tag-wnba
["GET
