Jennie Garth is no longer in touch with her \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210\u201d co-star Tiffani Thiessen after their infamous falling out.<\/p>\n
\u201cTiffani and I didn\u2019t have such a happy ending with our friendship,\u201d Garth writes in her new memoir, \u201cI Choose Me,\u201d<\/a> which is out now.<\/p>\n She adds, \u201cWe\u2019re no longer close.\u201d<\/p>\n The two met in 1994, when Thiessen, 52, joined the cast of \u201c90210\u201d<\/a> in the fifth season as the cunning Valerie Malone.<\/p>\n Jennie Garth admits that her friendship with Tiffani Thiessen did not have a \u201chappy ending.\u201d (The two are seen here in 1996.) Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n \u201cHer character brought tension, complexity, and a fresh energy to the ensemble,\u201d Garth writes, admitting that she immediately \u201cfelt threatened and competitive\u201d with the \u201cSaved by the Bell\u201d alum,<\/a> \u201cjust as I had with many beautiful co-stars before.\u201d<\/p>\n Garth quickly realized the negative pattern she was repeating, apologized to Thiessen, and \u201cthat\u2019s how we became best friends during her years on \u201890210.\u2019\u201d The two hit it off so well that Thiessen served as a bridesmaid at Garth\u2019s wedding to Peter Facinelli <\/a>in 2001.<\/p>\n The two maintained their friendship after the show ended.<\/p>\n Garth admits that the two, in this undated photo, were not friends off the bat because Garth was jealous. Garth \u201cimmediately knew\u201d Smith was \u201cperfect\u201d for Thiessen.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was tall and handsome and from Texas,\u201d she writes, \u201cand I just had the feeling they would hit it off. I called her right away and told her to come down to the set to meet this cute guy \u2026 Cut to: They\u2019ve been married for years<\/a> with a gorgeous family.\u201d<\/p>\n Garth has never given a full reasoning behind the falling out, though the two have run into each other<\/a> since, at an audition and a dinner party, <\/p>\n \u201cThe connection we once shared wasn\u2019t there,\u201d Garth writes.<\/p>\n Garth even set up Thiessen with her future husband.
