COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) – The Council Bluffs Police Department reports that two schools were under lockdown Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
Police say at\u00a0about 8:30 a.m., they were told of \u201cthreats of violence\u201d towards the Iowa School for the Deaf<\/a> and Lewis Central Community School District.<\/a><\/p>\n In a social media post, CBPD writes that the schools were placed on\u00a0lockdown\u00a0while officers responded to the campuses. <\/p>\n At 08:30 a.m., we received information about threats of violence towards ISD and @lewiscentralcsd<\/a>. Both schools are on lockdown, and officers are present at each location. Officers were at \u201call three buildings,\u201d according to the post.<\/p>\n Just before 10 a.m., CBPD said it was determined to be a\u00a0swatting incident\u00a0and\u00a0not a legitimate call.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is nothing to indicate that anyone was in any danger.
