It was previously reported that the character was comic anti-heroine Maxima, but it\u2019s unknown if that is correct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDC Studios had no comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tEarlier in April, a quartet of finalists screen tested in Atlanta, including Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler and Grace Van Patten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDavid Corenswet returns as Superman, with Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor. The enemies team up to take on the threat of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/man-of-tomorrow-finds-its-brainiac-lars-eidinger-1236431393\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brainiac<\/a>\u00a0(Lars Eidinger), with a slew of Superman stars returning, such as Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Guy Gardner (Nathon Fillion) and Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific). Lanterns star Aaron Pierre will also be on the call sheet, reprising his role as the Green Lantern John Stewart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIf Arjona is indeed Maxima, it portends a more cosmic nature for this DC outing. Writer Roger Stern and artist George P\u00e9rez introduced Maxima in the pages of\u00a0Action Comics\u00a0No. 645 in 1989. She is an alien queen who has been both an antagonist and potential love interest for Superman.<\/p>\n<p>Gunn wrote Man of Tomorrow for a July 9, 2027 release date. It is the sequel to Superman, which grossed $618.7 million globally last year. DC Studios has Supergirl up next in June, with the horror-tinged Clayface dated for Oct. 23 of this year, and The Batman: Part II set for October 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tArjona last year appeared in the acclaimed second season of Star Wars series Andor and starred with Dakota Johnson in the comedy Splitsville. She has several high-profile movies in post-production, including Amazon MGM\u2019s remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, directed by Michael B. Jordan, and Onslaught, the latest thriller from Adam Wingard, among others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tArjona is repped by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners Anonymous Content\u00a0and Goodman Genow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tApril 14, 10:56 am.
