\n\tWarner Bros. has dated The Flood<\/a>, a new sci-fi thriller from Amblin and director Zach Cregger<\/a>, for Aug. 11, 2028. Cregger will write and direct the pic based on an original idea by the Weapons director. The studio also dated the Weapons spinoff Gladys<\/a> for September 8, 2028. Cregger is not directing that pic but will produce with Roy Lee as well as co-write the pic with Zach Shields.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u00a0\u201cZach is the rarest of filmmakers, fluent in every genre he touches, and we\u2019re excited to continue our partnership,\u201d said New Line Cinema President Richard Brener.<\/p>\n

\n\tWeapons\u00a0topped the domestic box office for three weeks and earned $269M worldwide, ranking among 2025\u2019s highest-grossing horror films.<\/p>\n

His next feature,\u00a0Resident Evil, based on the hit video game franchise, releases in September.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe studio also dated the Oceans prequel starring Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper for June 25, 2027. Cooper is on board to direct the pic.<\/p>\n

\n\tFinal Destination 7 will bow on May 12, 2028 and The Revenge of La Llorona will be released on April 9, 2027. The studio also announced the release date for Baz Luhrman\u2019s untitled Joan of Arc film for Nov. 22, 2028.<\/p>\n
