Construction crews are on-site at a former Washington Township Rite Aid, clearing out the space and beginning the process of converting it into medical offices for the Inspira Health System.<\/p>\n

It was just a year ago when the Rite Aid closed at 490 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, located at the corner of Chapel Heights\/Ganntown Road. Washington Township High School sits directly across the intersection.<\/p>\n

As we all know, the Rite Aid closing was a complete corporate bankruptcy<\/a> that eventually saw them close of all locations. Sad news, but many of those former retail pharmacy buildings are in prime locations, and quickly attracting new tenants.<\/p>\n

For the past year, this Washington Twp property unoccupied, with occasional activity seen at the site. However, it wasn\u2019t until just a few days ago that significant movement began, with multiple trucks arriving along with several large dumpsters.<\/p>\n

42Freeway was able to initially (independently) confirm that Inspira Health is the new tenant and then reached out to the health system\u2019s media team for additional details.<\/p>\n

Inspira Health \u2013 Hurffville-Cross Keys<\/p>\n

This new Inspira medical office location will sit just a half-mile from Jefferson Hospital, which has maintained a strong healthcare presence in Washington Township (formerly Kennedy Health) for decades, and has helped drive significant growth of nearby medical offices.<\/p>\n

Consider that roughly one mile to the southeast along the same Hurffville-Cross Keys Road are larger medical office buildings housing Rothman Orthopedics and the Virtua Health System.<\/p>\n

For Inspira Health, this appears to be a prime corner location\u2014close to dense suburban neighborhoods, Washington Township High School, and a variety of retail and restaurant destinations.<\/p>\n

The former Rite Aid property also offers strong visibility at a busy intersection and, by estimate, more than 50 parking spaces.<\/p>\n

As noted in Inspira\u2019s statement, the plan includes an Urgent Care facility along with specialty services provided through Inspira Medical Group.<\/p>\n

Washington Township has an existing Inspira Urgent Care on Egg Harbor Road in the \u201cShopRite\u201d shopping center.<\/p>\n

Clearly Inspira is seeing success with its suburban Urgent Care model throughout Gloucester County as they also operate nearby facilities in Mantua, Glassboro, and Mullica Hill.<\/p>\n

The mention of specialty services in the statement refers to Inspira Medical Group, a network of more than 175 physicians and advanced practice providers representing over 20 specialties, along with 16 primary care practices and eight urgent care locations.<\/p>\n

At this time, it\u2019s not entirely clear which specific services will be offered at the new Washington Township location. However, given the inclusion of urgent care, it\u2019s reasonable to expect that some level of primary care services could also be incorporated, allowing the same staff to support both urgent and routine patient needs.<\/p>\n

That said, the final mix of services has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n
