The Bears’ record is now 11-1 in the regular season and remains perfect in the NEWMAC with an 8-0 record. The Cougars fall to 3-10 overall and 1-7 in NEWMAC play.

The Bears got their offense going early, as usual, as senior Abby McAllister (Pleasantville, N.Y.) scored her first of the day 38 seconds into the game. Coast Guard’s leading scorer finished the day with four goals, two assists, two groundballs, and four caused-turnovers. Coast Guard scored four more goals before Clark got their first and only goal of the night. Sophomore Elizabeth Pearcy (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored with just under two minutes remaining in the first quarter to give the Bears their 5-goal advantage back.

Coast Guard held Clark scoreless the remainder of the game, and added four more goals to their lead in the second quarter. The Bears led 10-1 at halftime.

The third quarter proved to be more of the same with the same result in the box score as the second quarter with the Bears scoring another four goals while holding Clark scoreless, despite the Cougars managing to get three shots on goal which was the most they got of the night.

Offensively in the fourth quarter, things started to slow down. There was no coming back for Clark as they could not find the back of the net. Coast Guard went on to score three goals in the final 15 minutes of play.
