Melanie Martinez<\/a> is emerging from the underworld.<\/p>\n The avant-garde pop star just announced she\u2019s going to play arenas all over North America this summer on her \u2018HADES: THE SACRIFICE TOUR.\u2019<\/p>\n Early in the U.S. and Canada leg of the run, the 30-year-old NYC native will make her sole Big Apple stop when she headlines at Brooklyn\u2019s Barclays Center<\/a> on Thursday, July 23.<\/p>\n This international outing comes in support of Martinez\u2019s recently-released fourth studio album \u201cHADES.\u201d According to Variety<\/a>, the 18-track record \u201cskewers toxic masculinity, online haters, climate change and lots more\u201d while remaining \u201cintense yet accessible.\u201d<\/p>\n Notable tracks spawned from the biting offering include the breakout hit \u201cPOSSESSION,\u201d hypnotic bop \u201cDISNEY PRINCESS\u201d and haunting epic \u201cTHE VATICAN.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen writing\u00a0\u2018Hades\u2019 I knew the tour for this album had to be immersive and cinematic,\u201d Martinez noted in a statement. \u201cThis tour is very different to anything I\u2019ve done before, and involves more practical elements and camera illusions.
