This week, Prime Video has added a brand-new original comedy with Mark Wahlberg, a 2025 action thriller starring Glen Powell, plus an Oscar-winning war drama that got added to the platform last Sunday. Here are the three new to Prime Video movies I’d stream this weekend.<\/p>\n

OK, yes, “Balls Up” hasn’t exactly been received well, but as Peter Farrelly’s latest movie is the big new Prime Video release this week, I figured it’s worth calling out all the same.<\/p>\n

Pitched as a “raunchy, over-the-top comedy,” “Balls Up” follows two marketing executives \u2014 Brad (Mark Wahlberg) and Elijah (Paul Walter Hauser). Together, they pitch a bold, full-coverage condom sponsorship with the World Cup, but after a drunken celebration in Brazil sparks a global scandal, they find themselves outrunning angry fans, criminals, and power-hungry officials, trying to salvage their careers and escape with their lives.<\/p>\n

If you’re after action this weekend, then you might well want to check out Edgar Wright’s 2025 take on “The Running Man,” which hit Prime Video on Friday, April 17.<\/p>\n

Here, we meet down-on-his-luck everyman Ben Richards (Glen Powell). In an effort to earn enough money to buy the medicine his sick daughter needs, Ben signs up for the most popular show on TV, “The Running Man.” His task? Go on the run and survive 30 days. Successful “Runners” stand to earn a colossal cash prize if they make it out alive… but as he’s pursued by the show’s “Hunters,” a team of deadly professional assassins who are out to get him, the odds are very much not in his favor. And when our angry antihero proves far more capable than everybody expected, he becomes a fan-favorite with the viewers at home … making him a threat to the system that “The Network” has built.<\/p>\n

I’m rounding out the list this week with a recommendation that was part of last week’s list. “The Zone of Interest” arrived on Prime Video last Sunday (April 12), and if you haven’t yet checked it out, I’d urge you to consider adding it to your watchlist.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Glazer’s harrowing, critically-acclaimed watch is based on a 2014 novel by Martin Amis and revolves around the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf H\u00f6ss (Christian Friedel), and his wife Hedwig (“Project Hail Mary<\/a>‘s” Sandra H\u00fcller) and their family, who lead a charmed life in their house that backs right onto the camp, indifferent to the atrocities being carried out right under their noses.<\/p>\n
