Christina Applegate has reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles since late March, amid the Emmy winner\u2019s enduring battle with multiple sclerosis.<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old \u201cDead to Me\u201d star\u2019s representative would not confirm the information given to TMZ by sources with direct knowledge, who claimed her lengthy hospitalization but could not detail the circumstances<\/a> surrounding it.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,\u201d Applegate\u2019s rep said in a statement to the Daily News. \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cMarried\u2026 with Children\u201d alum was diagnosed in 2021 with MS, which affects communication between the brain and body<\/a>, and damages nerve fibers. Symptoms can include difficulty with coordination and walking, partial or complete loss of vision, often in one eye at a time, slurred speech, mood changes, vertigo, and more.<\/p>\n In 2024, Applegate shared on the \u201cMeSSy\u201d podcast she hosts with \u201cSopranos\u201d alum Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also battles the autoimmune disease, that she does not \u201cenjoy living\u201d anymore and suffers now from \u201ca real, f\u2212\u2212k-it-all depression.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s kind of scaring me too a little bit because it feels really fatalistic,\u201d said Applegate at the time.<\/p>\n She revealed in early 2025 that symptoms from MS had sent her to the hospital \u201cupwards of 30 times\u201d over three years. This past summer, she was also hospitalized with a double kidney infection.<\/p>\n
