At this point, it’s starting to feel like the UNC women’s basketball program is included in a top-tier prospect’s list of finalists at least once a day!<\/p>\n

Courtney Banghart and the Tar Heels continue to impress potential recruits, as four-star Class of 2026 talent Leelee Bell is one of them.<\/p>\n

Bell told National Women’s College Basketball and recruiting reporter Talia Goodman of On3\/Rivals that she is down to five finalists in her recruitment. North Carolina is among the finalists, joining Louisville, Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma as the teams that are still involved.<\/p>\n

In case you’re not familiar with Bell, here’s some important details of note: <\/p>\n

Bell is a 6-foot-2 forward from Minot, North Dakota. Considered a four-star talent, Bell ranks as the No. 21 overall player in the Class of 2026 (according to 247Sports<\/a>). While 247Sports ranks her among the top 25 prospects in the country, Rivals<\/a> has her tabbed as the No. 41-ranked player this class has to offer.<\/p>\n

While the rankings differ, there’s no denying that the UNC women’s basketball program is extremely interested in bringing her to Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n

Brandon Clay of 247Sports<\/a> sang high praise for the rising senior, citing her versatility as a major asset in her overall game:<\/p>\n

“Bell has the size and stature to be a factor at multiple positions in the front court. She’s willing to get downhill to attack and look to score. Bell’s ability to score the basketball and help rebound is a major plus. Bell is comfortable facing the basket to score the basketball. She will shoot the 3-pointer, attack left into a midrange or take the basketball all the way to the rim. When Bell gets in her bag offensively, there aren’t 5-7 prospects at her position who are more proficient at getting to their spot to score.”<\/p>\n

The UNC women’s basketball program has been extremely active on the recruiting trail. Courtney Banghart and her staff want to put together another loaded recruiting class, continuing a trend we’ve grown accustomed to over her tenure at North Carolina.<\/p>\n

At this point, who is next to consider North Carolina as a finalist in their respective recruitment?<\/p>\n
