\n\tLi Jun Li<\/a>, one of the breakout stars of \u201cSinners,\u201d has joined Season 3 of \u201cThe Last of Us<\/a>,\u201d Variety has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the HBO<\/a> Max series, she will play Miriam, a Seraphite and the mother of Lev and Yara. As previously announced<\/a>, Michelle Mao will play Yara and Kyriana Kratter will play Lev, siblings whose paths cross with Abby at a pivotal moment, as Ellie begins her revenge rampage in Seattle.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe joins a growing ensemble that includes Jason Ritter and Patrick Wilson, along with Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle and Spencer Lord, who have been promoted to series regulars after recurring in Season 2. They join previously announced additions of Clea DuVall and Jorge Lendeborg Jr., the latter taking over the role of Manny. Returning cast members include Kaitlyn Dever, Bella Ramsey, Isabella Merced, Gabriel Luna and Jeffrey Wright.<\/p>\n

\n\tLi is set to appear next in \u201cSpider-Noir,\u201d starring opposite Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage. The Prime Video live-action Marvel series is slated to premiere globally on May 27. She recently drew acclaim for her performance as Grace Chow in Ryan Coogler\u2019s Oscar record-breaking vampire drama \u201cSinners.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer previous television credits include Peacock\u2019s \u201cBased on a True Story\u201d and Paramount\u2019s \u201cEvil.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d was renewed for a third season in 2025, ahead of its Season 2 debut. Based on the hit video game franchise, the series is set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a fungal infection that transforms much of humanity into violent, infected creatures. The series was co-created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.<\/p>\n

\n\tDruckmann announced his departure ahead of Season 3, leaving Mazin as the sole showrunner. Mazin will also write and executive produce.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d is a co-production between HBO and Sony Pictures Television. Executive producers include Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O\u2019Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Evan Wells. PlayStation Productions, Word Games, Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog produce.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d is expected to begin shooting this summer.<\/p>\n
