NASA and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM)\u00a0launched\u00a0the\u00a0NASA Force\u00a0website\u00a0on Friday, opening applications for roles\u00a0aimed at recruiting the nation\u2019s top engineers and technologists to support America\u2019s\u00a0air and\u00a0space program.\u00a0<\/p>\n
NASA Force, a new hiring initiative developed in partnership with OPM,\u00a0will\u00a0recruit and place high-impact technical talent into mission-critical roles supporting NASA\u2019s exploration, research, and advanced technology priorities, ensuring the agency has the\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a0expertise\u00a0needed to\u00a0maintain\u00a0U.S. leadership in\u00a0air and\u00a0space.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cNASA\u00a0Force is bringing highly skilled\u00a0early- to mid-career\u00a0engineers, technologists and innovators to help us achieve\u00a0our world-changing missions,\u201d said NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. \u201cOur successful Artemis II mission\u00a0has\u00a0inspired the world and\u00a0generated tremendous interest\u00a0to\u00a0join our workforce\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0part\u00a0of the Golden Age of innovation and exploration.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
NASA Force\u00a0is\u00a0part of\u00a0a broader\u00a0US Tech Force<\/a>\u202f initiative\u00a0established\u00a0by OPM\u00a0to recruit elite technical professionals into federal service\u00a0at\u00a0multiple\u00a0agencies\u00a0to modernize systems, accelerate innovation, and strengthen mission delivery.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cNASA has always shown the world what American talent can achieve when it\u2019s pointed at a bold mission,\u201d said OPM Director Scott Kupor. \u201cNASA Force is about making sure the agency has access to the next generation of innovation and strong partnerships with private sector talent to drive its very ambitious agenda.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The first job\u00a0application\u00a0under NASA Force<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0for\u00a0aerospace engineer\u00a0positions\u00a0for a two-year term position,\u00a0with the potential for\u00a0additional term extensions.
