Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever<\/a> are gearing up for the 2026 WNBA<\/a> season. The Fever<\/a> had a solid season last year, finishing 24-20 and No. 3 in the Eastern Conference and No. 6 overall. Guard Caitlin Clark<\/a> suffered a right groin injury<\/a> against the Connecticut Sun<\/a> on July 15, missing the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Indiana made a deep run in the 2025 WNBA playoffs despite the injury to its superstar. The Fever first upset Allisha Gray<\/a> and the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream<\/a> (2-1) in the first round before falling to A\u2019ja Wilson<\/a> and the Las Vegas Aces<\/a> in the next round (3-2).<\/p>\n

Justine Pissott was selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 25 overall pick in the second round of the 2026 WNBA Draft.<\/p>\n

Pissott began her college career with the Tennessee Volunteers<\/a>, arriving as a five-star prospect out of Red Bank Catholic High School. After spending her freshman season in Knoxville, she transferred to the Vanderbilt<\/a> Commodores.<\/p>\n

Pissott spent three seasons with the Commodores, having a strong senior season in Nashville. The 6-foot-4 guard filled out the stat sheet during the 2025-26 women\u2019s college basketball season, averaging career highs in minutes per game (29.5), points (11.1), rebounds (4.5), assists (2.3), steals (0.4) and blocks (0.9).<\/p>\n

On Friday, Fever beat writer Tony East reported that the Fever had signed Pissott to a player development contract. Under the new 2026 CBA, the rookie minimum contract salary is $270,000.<\/p>\n

“The Fever announce that they have signed second round pick Justine\u00a0Pissott, “East wrote on X. “to a player development contract.”<\/p>\n

Indiana will start the season with a home opener against Paige Bueckers<\/a> and the Dallas Wings<\/a> on May 9.<\/p>\n
