The PGA Tour\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PGATOUR\/status\/2045155526455996831\" id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PGATOUR\/status\/2045155526455996831\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">post on X<\/a> showed what happened next.<\/p>\n<p>Fowler\u2019s shot on the 172-yard hole turned out just about as perfectly as possible, except that it didn\u2019t go in.<\/p>\n<p>The high-arching ball landed just onto the green, took three bounces and rolled straight toward the cup. Then, the ball hit the flagstick and gently rolled to the left.<\/p>\n<p>Fowler settled for a birdie to go 8-under. After the round, he was part of an eight-player group tied at 8-under, one behind Patrick Cantlay and six behind leader Matthew Fitzpatrick.<\/p>\n<p>The RBC Heritage continues with the third round on Saturday and fourth round on Sunday. CBS provides the coverage at 3 p.m. ET each day.
