Queries sent to base were not immediately returned on Friday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The soldiers\u2019 conditions were not released pending notification of relatives.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Both soldiers used pepper spray on the bear, the official said.
