A homelessness charity has cut ties with Sharon Osbourne over her plans to attend Tommy Robinson\u2019s upcoming anti-immigration march.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, the TV personality and widow of rock legend\u00a0Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>\u00a0seemed to confirm that she will take part in the so-called \u2018Unite The Kingdom\u2019 rally<\/a>\u00a0in London\u2019s Trafalgar Square next month, replying to a Robinson post by writing: \u201cSee you at the march\u201d.<\/p>\n Centrepoint, a UK charity which provides accommodation and support to homeless people aged 16\u201325, has now distanced itself from Osbourne as a celebrity ambassador.<\/p>\n In a statement, the charity said: \u201cThis sort of event does not align with our values,\u201d per the Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n It added: \u201cCentrepoint has a proud history of supporting young people whatever their background, ethnicity or religion. If we want young people to thrive in this country then we need to ensure our society continues to allow them to live without fear and able to access the opportunities they need to start education or work and leave homelessness behind.\u201d<\/p>\n The charity also expressed its gratitude to Osbourne for supporting its Omaze campaign, which raised money by selling entries for a sweepstakes-style draw to win a \u00a35million home overlooking Lake Windermere, along with \u00a3250,000 in cash.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile Sharon supported us on this campaign, for which she was referred to as an ambassador as is standard for Omaze prize draws, she is not an official ongoing ambassador of Centrepoint and we have no plans to work together in the future,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n Robinson, who has been eager to gain endorsement from celebrities, has celebrated Osbourne\u2019s support for the upcoming rally.<\/p>\n Kneecap<\/a> \u2013 who have had run-ins with Osbourne in the past \u2013 have also responded to the news<\/a>. The group quoted an opinion piece in the Metro<\/a>\u00a0that suggested that Osbourne\u2019s attendance at the march will prove that Kneecap \u201cwere right about her\u201d,\u00a0and\u00a0wrote simply: \u201cFuck @MrsSOsbourne\u201d.<\/p>\n Osbourne was openly critical of Kneecap\u2019s 2025 Coachella set, in which\u00a0the group led chants after projecting the slogan \u201cFuck Israel, Free Palestine\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and gave a passionate speech in support of Gaza.<\/p>\n The\u00a0previous\u00a0\u2018Unite\u00a0The\u00a0Kingdom\u2019\u00a0march,\u00a0meanwhile,\u00a0took place last September, drawing over\u00a0100,000 members\u00a0of the public, with speeches from\u00a0Robinson\u00a0and\u00a0Elon Musk\u00a0among others. At least 25 people\u00a0were\u00a0arrested\u00a0and 26 police officers were injured at the event.<\/p>\n
