Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle finds herself in a nightmare situation<\/a> next week, when she suddenly goes into labour while stuck in the middle of nowhere. Charity is forced to accept help from her secret baby daddy Ross Barton<\/a>, but things get worse at the hospital.<\/p>\n

In upcoming scenes, Charity decides to throw a big baby shower for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden, for whom she is supposed to be a surrogate<\/a>. Charity is irritated when the cake doesn’t arrive on time, so she and her husband Mackenzie Boyd go to pick it up. <\/p>\n

During the errand, their car conks out and they are left stranded with no phones<\/a> to call for help. A new spoiler clip, which can be viewed above, sees Charity’s waters break on the roadside, and she informs Mack that “the cake’s the least of [their] worries right now”. <\/p>\n

Fortunately, the pair manage to flag down a passing car, but Charity is mortified to discover Ross behind the wheel. With no other option, she reluctantly accepts a lift to the hospital – which Ross isn’t too pleased about either. <\/p>\n

A second spoiler clip, which can be viewed below, sees a panicked Sarah rushing to Hotten General after learning that her gran is in labour. But when she enquires about Charity’s location, a receptionist tells her that she hasn’t been admitted. <\/p>\n

“She’s not on the system, and if she’s not on the system, she’s not here,” the receptionist explains, before giving her directions to the maternity ward. She also tells Sarah that the lift isn’t working. <\/p>\n

The scene then switches to the broken lift, revealing that Mack, Charity and Ross are trapped inside. As Ross becomes increasingly frustrated with the lack of assistance from staff, Charity fights through the painful contractions. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a terrified Mack slumps to the floor, struck by memories of being imprisoned in John Sugden’s bunker<\/a>. He explains that he isn’t “good with tight spaces” anymore, but assures them that he’ll be fine.<\/p>\n

In the final spoiler clip, Sarah arrives at the maternity ward, only to be told that Charity isn’t there. At first, the nurse suggests that it could be a “false alarm”, but after receiving a call about a woman giving birth in a lift, they put two and two together. <\/p>\n

Back in the lift, a midwife helps Ross and Mack deliver the baby over the intercom, while Sarah, having located her gran, steps in with a heartwarming pep talk. Though the baby is born safely, Charity’s loved ones are horrified to discover her critical condition. <\/p>\n

As tensions rise between an emotional Mack and Ross, will the latter reveal the truth about the baby’s paternity? And will Charity be able to simply hand over her daughter to Sarah following the traumatic ordeal? <\/p>\n
