Christina Applegate is feeling \u201cbetter every day\u201d after\u00a0her recent hospitalization<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Addressing the recent health scare via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, the \u201cMarried \u2026 with Children\u201d actress said, \u201cThank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but I\u2019m a strong chick and I\u2019m getting stronger and better every day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I\u2019ll be back with more to say soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applegate, 54, suggested she was back home when she accompanied her statement with a photo of a coffee mug and her new memoir, \u201cYou With the Sad Eyes<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

She thanked her fans for \u201cthe outpouring of love and well wishes\u201d in an emotional Instagram caption Monday, alongside a photo of her new memoir, \u201cYou With the Sad Eyes.\u201d christinaapplegate\/instagram<\/p>\n

Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis<\/a> in 2021, was hospitalized in Los Angeles late last month \u2014 though it was unclear if the reason had anything to do with her autoimmune disease.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,\u201d a rep for the actress told Page Six in a statement at the time. \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days later, it was reported that those close to the \u201cAnchorman\u201d actress were fearing the worst <\/a>for the star amid her \u201chellish\u201d hospital stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith every setback, if we are being realistic, everyone has it in the back of their minds that they might not have a tomorrow with her,\u201d a source\u00a0told the Daily Mail. \u201cChristina is a fighter, but her battle with MS has been treacherous. She has better days and really bad days; she doesn\u2019t have great days. She\u2019s always dealing with something. It sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider noted that Applegate \u201chas so many friends that are there for her, even to listen to her, cry with her and anything in between.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ever since Applegate revealed her MS diagnosis, the actress has been extremely candid about her health journey. <\/p>\n

In her new memoir, she detailed the \u201cdangerous\u201d and \u201cscary\u201d weight loss<\/a> she\u2019s experienced due to MS.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I was put on a clear\u2011liquid diet because of my stomach issues, and all of a sudden, everything just dropped off of me,\u201d she writes. \u201cWithin seven months, all of it was gone, and I was down by 50 pounds or more. These days, my legs are tinier than they\u2019ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February, Applegate heartbreakingly shared that she was confined to her bed <\/a>due to ongoing pain while talking about how she still tries to take her daughter, Sadie<\/a>, to school.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to take her; it\u2019s my favorite thing to do. It\u2019s the only time we have together by ourselves,\u201d\u00a0she told People. \u201cI tell myself, \u2018Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.\u2019 And that\u2019s what I do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy life isn\u2019t wrapped up with a bow,\u201d she continued. \u201cPeople\u2019s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f\u2013king suck sometimes. So I\u2019m being as honest and raw as I possibly can.\u201d<\/p>\n
