The Facts of Life star Mindy Cohn<\/a> has been diagnosed with cancer for a second time.<\/p>\n

The 59-year-old actor was previously diagnosed with breast cancer<\/a> in 2012 and was in remission by 2017.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Cohn took to Instagram to share a photo from her hospital bed, revealing she took a break from social media to \u201cgo kick cancer\u2019s ass.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to thank her doctors and the \u201cextraordinary\u201d staff of Providence Saint John\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecouping for another couple of weeks and then ready for my next adventure. onwards! F*** Cancer!\u201d the Scooby-Doo voice actor concluded.<\/p>\n

Cohn did not disclose the type of cancer in her post.<\/p>\n

In the comments section, numerous stars shared their well-wishes and messages of support.<\/p>\n

The Carol Burnett Show alum Vicki Lawrence wrote: \u201cLove you, Mindy. Damn it\u2026 F*** CANCER.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oscar winner Helen Hunt said she was \u201cSending Love your way,\u201d as did Emmy winner Sarah Paulson.<\/p>\n

Cohn opened up about her last bout of cancer, which lasted five years, in 2017, revealing she underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kept that secret for a long time,\u201d she told People<\/a> at the time. \u201cI\u2019ve always been an optimist, but the cancer metastasized. It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I\u2019d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn\u2019t control any of this. I couldn\u2019t fix it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohn is best known for starring Natalie Green in the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life from 1979 to 1988. She also voiced Velma Dinkley in the Scooby-Doo franchise from 2002 to 2015, taking over from B. J. Ward before being succeeded by Kate Micucci.<\/p>\n

In July 2024, Cohn claimed that she and the original cast of The Facts of Life had been working on a potential reboot before a \u201cgreedy\u201d co-star sabotaged the project.<\/a><\/p>\n

She alleged that one of her castmates \u2014 whom she did not name \u2014 \u201cwent behind our backs\u201d and attempted to make a separate deal for a different spin-off \u201cjust for herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Confirming that the reboot is now \u201cvery dead,\u201d she added: \u201cA couple of people can\u2019t move past it, don\u2019t want to move past it. We are not as united. Let me put it that way. We were united for 40 years over not talking about each other, not doing dirty, not, you know, all for one, one for all. And this kind of wrecked that, which is sad.
